"Molly Matter led an impactful and vital workshop for 60+ 12th graders on the history of voting rights through a racial justice lens. Her historical framing made the necessary links to ongoing and current attacks on voting rights that continue to disproportionately target communities of color. By connecting this important history with current voter suppression tactics, students were motivated to learn more about (and join!) the long legacy of voting rights activism that aims to transform the United States into a truly inclusive, multiracial democracy."
